I agree with you about the banquet: it's a good thing to do when we have a huge crowd, as it's really the only way to get everybody together at the same time. But with a medium-sized crowd, I don't think it has the same value. The food was really great last year, but we will be just as happy with pizza or Chinese in the suite.

I think trivia night at Pat Troy's trumped any banquet we've ever had!

I think it is a good idea about the bash fee, and BYOB, and skipping the banquet.  Between being able to order out and doing Pat Troy's, I don't think the banquet is necessary.

The Chinese food was a great idea last year. The sad part was all the leftovers that did not fit into the little fridge. At least it didn't melt all over the floor in the kitchen area like the 10 gallons of ice cream.OK, after 7 months, I have gotten that off my chest

I am probably not going to be able to make it to the bash this year at all. If this bash is to happen, someone else will have to negotiate room rates with the hotel, since I won't be able to sign the contract.

So sorry to bow out, but there are some family things going on that weekend that I'm kind of obligated to attend, now that there's a grandchild in common.

It just feels so weird no packing and flying to Washington DC for the DC Bash.

I was just saying that to someone the other day,Dave. Maybe we should have a "Moment of Smile" on Saturday night in rememberance. In light of the way my last few months have been,it is a good thing I didn't have bash organization pressure! I miss you Dave, maybe Florida next winter? I do have my Mickey Mouse watch on this morning! What I'd really like is a bash someplace new if anyone is listening-Atlanta,Texas,midwest, someplace new and different for me. Any takers?

Arcadia read us the riot act last weekend because there was no bash.  She accused us of not wanting her to have fun and that it would be our fault if she never saw her bash buddies ever again. 

I am up for something close by - between here and Philly or the same distance south or west.  Like everyone else, we are pretty limited in time off and $$.  Maybe by next year we will have won the lottery and then you can all bash at our brand new mansion and we will even pay you your time off from work.

I was actually going to try to get together with Becca (Krazd)at some point. She is down by Salisbury/Ocean City MD. I imagine it's high season there on the coast, but maybe we could try for the fall in that area. Or is that out of the way?
